CHEIA is affiliated to BUFDG and were referred by BUFDG to Derventio Education. After developing the powerful Celsus CMS system for the BUFDG website, CHEIA would be able to benefit from much of the same functionality.
The website development budget was relatively limited and as CHEIA only has one full time member of staff, they needed to streamline work processes wherever possible.
With in-built modules for event management, forums, news and a member login area, the website helps ensure the CHEIA team can function as effectively as similar organisations with greater staff resources. The CHEIA team are also able to rely on the Derventio Education support team to help with any queries or issue they have.
The new CHEIA website (see the screenshot below) helps the full time member of staff administrate the organisation’s day to day membership, events and forums management, whilst the management team are freed to concentrate on the organisation’s strategic direction and alliances.

PHES provides a legal framework for different Higher Education sector organisations to run effectively and to share staff/operational resources. Derventio Education provides a comprehensive content management system for the British Universities Finance Directors Group (BUFDG) via our Celsus platform. This is a long-standing relationship that began in 2014. Our software solution enables BUFDG’s 3,500 members to engage with each other and access an online community. Members include the Directors of Finance and Chief Financial Officers of almost all UK Higher Education institutions.
